What documents do I need to prepare for onboarding in Malaysia?
As a Malaysia incorporated entity, here are the key documents you'll need:
- Identification Documents of Business Owner, Directors, Shareholders, Ultimate Beneficial Owner (UBO), Authorized Person
- For Malaysians: Malaysian Identity Card (NRIC)
- For non-Malaysians:
- Passport (photo page)
- Valid Malaysian Visa/ Work Permit or Permanent Residents Card (MyPR)
- Proof of address (business address and residential address, e.g.: utility bill or bank statement) for the authorized person.
- Certificate of Incorporation by Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM).
- Form 24 or Section 51/78 – Allotment of Shares
- Form 49 or Section 58 - Return Giving Particulars in Register of Director, Managers & Secretaries, and Changes of Particulars
- Memorandum & Article Association or Section 14 – Application for company registration
- Letter of Authorization
The documents needed and requested will also depend on where your business is incorporated, and which is the relevant to MDAQ Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. account opening. A Corporate Profile of the company as well as the identifying documents of the shareholders is usually the starting point.
