Overview of purpose, usage, and where to download an Account Reference Letter
- What is an Account Reference Letter?
The Account Reference Letter is issued to prove that the sender is a legitimate account holder with Wallex (as their customer) and has authorised Wallex to initiate a payment on their behalf.
This letter is typically used in Send Money scenarios where Wallex acts as an intermediary, and the beneficiary bank may require additional assurance of the sender’s identity or the legitimacy of the transaction.
- When will I need an Account Reference Letter?
You may require this letter when a beneficiary bank places a hold on funds and requests sender verification.
You can provide the Account Reference Letter to confirm that the transaction was made through Wallex as an authorised payment provider.
